Have you finished House of Cards and the new episodes of Arrested Development already? It’s the one downfall of Netflix’s new original programming. While we are grateful that Netflix releases every episode at once, after we are finished binging, we are left searching again for something to watch.
However, we aren’t going to have to wait long for something new, as Netflix is set to release their new series, Orange Is The New Black, on July 11. From the creator of Weeds, Jenji Kohan, Orange Is The New Black has a similar concept to the Showtime series.
Based on Piper Kerman’s best selling memior, the dark comedy is about an upper class white woman who gets caught up in the drug trade and is sentenced to a women’s prison in Queens, NY. Starring Taylor Schilling as Piper, Orange Is The New Black also features other prominent TV and movie stars like Jason Biggs and Natasha Lyonne of American Pie, Laura Prepon (That 70’s Show), Taryn Manning (Hustle & Flow) and Pablo Schreiber (The Wire).
Orange Is The New Black is like the Hamptons, only horrible, so check out the trailer and don’t drop the soap!

Wow, that actually looks pretty good. Let’s just hope it doesn’t turn into a prison escape movie.
