It can be hard to judge a ‘book by its cover’ for a lack of a better saying when it comes to movie titles. Sometimes its not in their best interest to give away too much or would rather be poetic about how they would like to describe their film. Yet we’ve learned to look past the title of a movie before we begin to judge if its worthy of us spending our time and money on it. Now we look to things like a movie trailer or reviews before we make our judgements.
However, artist Danish Ahmed illustrates how wrong we can be if we take a movie title too literal. Movies like Milk, The Grey and Avatar can be interpreted completely different than what the movie truly depicts. His movie poster collection makes us think again about what these movies could have been about if we all looks titles to heart.
