Everyone has become obsessed with Netflix’s extensive catalog of movies and television shows. But one of more undervalued aspects has to be their selection of stand up comedy. Hour long specials that come along once in a blue moon on television and only a few times a year to your area are available at the push of a push with Netflix. With some of the most popular comedians at your disposal, these comedy specials are guaranteed to make you laugh.
Louis CK: Live at the Beacon Theater
Louis CK’s fourth stand up special was first released as a $5 download on his site (if you like it, you can still buy it here). Now available on Netflix Instant, Louie continues to joke about his life including fatherhood, smoking pot and flying first class.

Aziz Ansari: Buried Alive
Aziz Ansari’s third stand up special, Buried Alive, is a Netflix Exclusive. And a pretty damn good one. In this go around the ‘Parks and Rec’ star hits on a couple more serious subjects like love, relationships and marriage, but also have some light-hearted fun with his struggles as a young kid, not getting picked to be molested and another celebrity story, this time with Xzibit.

Bill Burr: Let it Go
If you don’t recognize the name, you may recognize him from the final season of Breaking Bad. He may not seem like a very funny guy in the show, but that’s the beauty of acting. In this stand up special, Burr dives into his problems with ‘stay-at-home’ moms, the holidays and how awesome it is to have a dog.

Jim Jefferies: Fully Functional
Jim Jefferies has begun to follow in the footsteps of Louis CK. Now with the first season of his FX show in the books, the Australian comedian tells more of his true life stories like a menage a trois in Montreal and other far fetched tales such as attending a party where God suddenly appears.
Daniel Tosh:Completely Serious
Most know Daniel Tosh by now as the rude, crude host of Tosh.O on Comedy Central. Yet he began his rise to fame like most comedians on the stand up circuit. Don’t worry, in this is second special, Tosh is still over-confident with the same cocky attitude as he discusses his view on modern society
Ralphie May: Austin-tatious
Ralphie May definitely has the biggest on stage presence of any comedian. However, he doesn’t rely on fat jokes to get him through this hour long comedy special. His stand up can best be described as raunchy, as he describes his take on everything from racially mixed audiences to hot empanadas.

Kevin Hart: Laugh at my Pain
From the biggest guy to quite possibly the smallest, Kevin Hart’s career is anything but. He can be seen almost everywhere now, from the NBA All-Star game making fun of Charles Barkley and Shaq to hitching a ride with Conan and Ice Cube. This comedy special is by far his best in my opinion, where Hart shares stories of going up with a drug addict for a father and his hesitations of hanging out with rich celebs.

Moshe Kasher: Live in Oakland
Recently took a gamble on Moshe Kasher’s special and was pleasantly surprised. Filmed live in his hometown of Oakland, CA, this flamboyant comedian finds humor in the people he’s met and how they see him.

Doug Stanhope beer hall putsh
The first half of this list was spot-on, then you got it so very wrong in the last half. Raplhie May is by far the worst stand up comic to make it big (no pun intended). All he does is just tell nonsense in a high pitched whiny manner. And after an hour, all he has said was ” woo! I’m American and I’m from Texas!” Kevin Hart is NOT funny period. And the Kasher special. He may be funny, but this special was so unfunny.
