While Michael Bay doesn’t have the accolades that directors like Steven Spielberg and Martin Scorsese have complied, he is still one of the most discussed filmmakers of our time. His movies are typically action packed adventures, full of excessive explosions, vivid colors and dynamic camera shots that are overtly complicated and over used. Yet his blockbuster movies have been seen by millions upon millions and his name is bigger than ever. While some of us may be getting tired of Bayhem, this video breakdown by Tony Zhou of Michael Bay’s visual style is incredibly interesting.
